About Us

Who We Are
Dan Sanchez | Founder
Dan Sanchez is the founder and President of Tee Off Against (TOA), a non-profit
company whose goal is to raise awareness and funds through awesome golf
tournaments! TOA gives back primarily to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of
Central PA and PA Wounded Warriors for their fundraising efforts. TOA has also
given back to Make-A-Wish, Four Diamonds and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
“I started Tee Off Against in 2013 because I had created a golf event as a fund raiser
when I ran for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Man and Woman of the Year contest on May 20, 2013. The odds seemed impossible to pull off a fund-raising golf event in less than 8 weeks but I tried and Rich Valley Golf course gave me the chance. It was for an AM flight and amazingly 208 golfers attended the 1 st annual Tee Off Against Cancer Golf Tournament and it overflowed into the PM. I realized that day that I could do something special to help in the fight against cancer through golf. And
hence, Tee Off Against was formed!
It has been an AMAZING experience to have founded this organization that gives
back each year to our charities. The people I have met doing these tournaments and hearing their individual stories is why this has become so passionate for me.
The amount of Tee Off Volunteers that donate their time to be a part of these
events is something that I will never forget, and I am so thankful for our volunteers
and our all-volunteer Board Members that help spread the TOA vision and our
message of “We Golf to Save Lives!”
I am very thankful of the support of our amazing local businesses and of course our
AMAZING golfers who continue to sell out our tournaments.
Please contact me at dsanchez@teeoffagainst.org or 717-503-8381 if you would like to hear more about our “We Golf to Save Lives!” story and what it looks like to be a part of our
amazing tournaments!
Beth Graham | Treasurer
Beth has lived in the area for most of her life and worked in the Accounting field for over 35 years. Beth met Dan through Moe’s and volunteered for his first tournament when he ran for Man of the Year for Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. The next year she got more involved. After the second tournament, Dan was putting together his Board of Directors and was looking for a Treasurer. Beth happened to mention during a meeting that she has done accounting work for 30 years. Dan said “Ok you are Treasurer!” The rest is history. Beth has known several people that have had and beat Leukemia. This is a way to give back and honor those people. Beth can be contacted at bgraham@teeoffagainst.org.
Kristen Bender | Secretary
Kristin was born and raised in Mechanicsburg and has worked in the engineering field for 18 years. She met Dan at Moe’s several years ago when he was running for Man of the Year for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. He decided to do a golf tournament to raise money. Kristin volunteered for that tournament and has been at every one since. After the second tournament, she joined the Tee Off Against Board as the Secretary and is honored to be a part of this amazing team.
Chris Bahnweg | Board Member
Chris Bahnweg, Tee Off Against Board Member, is a well-traveled individual. His father was in the Air Force, which, as a family, had them traveling all over the world. Chris continued that in his professional life, by getting involved in outside sales in the flooring industry. Chris started in the flooring industry in 1988, and has worked in it since.
Chris married his wife of 28 years, Dorothy, in 1993. And they had a son together, Christian, in 1994. They have lived in the Camp Hill, Pa., area, their entire married life, and in trying to become involved in the area, Chris was looking for a good cause to get involved in. As fate would have it, Chris saw an advertisement on the marquee at Moe’s Bar and Grill regarding the Tee Off Against golf fundraiser, when in it’s second year. Signed up to golf in the outing that year, and liked what he saw, so jumped in to help, and ended up becoming a board member.
One of the main reasons that this cause meant so much to Chris, was that his wife, Dorothy, had a blood disease, Neutropenia, a precursor to leukemia, and TOA was raising money for LLS. In 2020, Dorothy’s blood disease morphed into leukemia. Dorothy was in the hospital almost the entire time she had leukemia, and succumbed to the disease in May of 2021, making Chris’s efforts with TOA and LLS even more personal.
Andy Draisy | Board Member
My name is Andy Draisey. I’ve lived in the Mechanicsburg/Lewisberry all my life. Been on the TEE OFF Board for a few years now and have been volunteering almost every year. I remember the first year the team was bag stuffing, the Thursday before the tournament right at the bar at Moes. Standing too close to the action I was quickly out to work.
I’ve lost a couple people in my life to various forms of cancer, as most of us have these days, and that’s basically the main reason I enjoy volunteering for these events. The team we have works well together and we all enjoy doing these events together. Raising money to help cancer research and giving back to wounded warriors who have sacrificed for our freedom is also why I volunteer.
Lynn Phillips | Board Member
I have lived in the area most of my life. Volunteering has always played a role within my family. From charity walks to donating my time at the local firehouse.
Raising money to fight cancer and to help those in need through PA Wounded Warriors are two areas I am proud to serve.
After volunteering my first Tee Off tournament, I knew I found a home.
